The Slow Movement

“The Slow Movement is a term describing a wide range of efforts taking place around the world that seek to connect us more meaningfully with others, with place, and with ourselves. It emerged as an effort to counteract the fast–paced, commodity–focused, unbalanced, and impersonal nature of much of modern human culture.”

  • Be present – it is not enough to just slow down
  • Eat slower and enjoy your food
  • Enjoy that morning coffee in silence
  • Spend Sundays in PJ’s, drinking tea and reading book’s
  • Drive slower and enjoy listening to your favourite album or radio station
  • Stop and really take in nature when outside
  • Disconnect from social media & the internet often
  • Focus on the people you are with at the time
  • Do less and only what is a priority to you in your life
  • Single-task – it also makes you much more productive
  • And breathe….if you feel rushed, overwhelmed or stressed take just 5 minutes to slow your breathing and focus on it.

Thanks for visiting my blog, I really enjoy interacting with folks who follow the minimalist life style. My blog is more random, as I have interests in many topics. I wish you success in 2017 and have started following your blog. I look forward to reading more of your work.
