My answers:

1. What single achievement are you most proud of?

My biggest achievement to date would probably be curating a life that makes me happy. I lived for so long in a bad relationship, in debt and with no hope for the future. It took some work but I love my life now!

2. What is the most important lesson you’ve ever learnt?

I’ve learnt the importance of being honest with people but that actually being kind is more important.

3. What one thing would you do differently and why?

If I could go back in time I would have pursued a different career path and picked something more creative. I love my job and the people I work with but I am not passionate about accountancy.

4. What or who are you most thankful for?

My husband.

5. Which worries turned out to be the most unnecessary?

What people thought of me. I used to spend so much time trying to make people like me. Now I don’t even think about it – I worry more if I like someone myself.

6. What advice would you give your younger self?

Do not make decisions about your life or how you spend your time based on the judgements of others – it’s your life to live so do what makes you happy.

7. What new habits have you recently cultivated?

I’ve completely overhauled my shopping and spending habits whilst finding minimalism.

8. What or who has had the biggest positive impact on your life and why?

Minimalism – it has taught me what is most important in life and helped me identify my core value’s which I now try to live by every day.

9. What has been the most favorite compliment you’ve ever received?

My husband once told me that I am the kindest person he knows. He may have been under the influence of a few glasses of rum at the time and not remember saying it but it’s stayed with me ever since.

10. How has your overall outlook on life evolved over the years?

I think I’ve really grown as a person over the past few years and started to relax more. I’ve stopped caring about things I can’t change or control and I’ve tried to see the positive in every situation. I think it’s so important to live a life you are happy with and not one you think you should be living.
