A Simple “Could Do” List For 2017


Explore a new part of your town on foot. You don’t need to venture far for an adventure.

Rearrange your furniture and home. Changing things up a bit can have a huge impact. You don’t need to redecorate or buy new stuff to make a positive difference to your home.

Try a social media cleanse or simply take a break for a while.

Reconnect with an old friend.

Plan a solo day trip and get some ‘me’ time.

Learn a new recipe for a quick and healthy meal.

Reorganise your desk for a more productive day.

Opt for a book instead of a TV show and read in silence.

Dedicate a new notebook to reflect and set your intentions and refer to it often.

Streamline important tasks and aim to tick one off per week until the list is complete.

Begin to fill your home with plants and learn how to care for them.

Declutter a room in your home and reorganise what is left.

Start a daily gratitude journal and list 3-5 things that you are truly grateful for.

Start to wake up 10-15 minutes earlier and sit in silence at a window taking in the world outside whilst drinking your favourite hot beverage.

Develop a morning routine that will set the mood for the rest of the day. If you are often stressed or tired try a slow morning and if you need to feel more motivated and energised try exercising as soon as you get up.

Revisit some of the favourite things from your childhood. It could be your favourite childhood snack, music or book. Or it could be painting or drawing. Soak up the nostalgia.

    I did a one and year gratitude journal last year and loved it. It helped me look for what I was grateful for each day and also, when I looked back through the pages from time to time, I was able to re-live little moments of joy.
