Wonderful Wednesday #8

Hello friends!  It’s that time again….another wonderful Wednesday post 🙂  These are the things I’ve been happy about this past week.

Oh natural hair

I have straightened my poor mop for many many years now but recently I have decided to let its curly craziness shine through! I have naturally soft fine curly hair and it was about time I embraced it again. I’ve put the hairdryer and straighteners away and I’m letting it dry naturally with a little Moroccan oil in it. It’s bouncy, soft and I’m feeling like my old self again!

Sunny days

I’m sure I’m not the only one appreciating the glorious weather lately J I’m normally an autumn/winter person but I’ve realised lately how much I’ve missed the sunny days and longer evenings. I’ve noticed how much happier everyone around me is too and quite frankly it’s infectious!

Our garden

We started to do some maintenance on our garden about a month ago in time for the warmer weather. On Sunday we sat outside for a few hours whilst Ruby, our kitty, played around. I forget to appreciate having private outside space to relax in as I have friends/family who only have balconies. I’m so looking forward to getting home from work and having impromptu barbeques, reading outside with a cup of tea in the mornings before work and inviting friends over at weekends just to sit in the garden and drink ice-cold drinks.

Future plans

There’s nothing better than having a little weekend break booked in to look forward to. My mum turns 70 this year and she’s booked us a house on the Isle of Wight for the whole family. It’s a beautiful property with amazing views over the sea. It’s right on the beach too so I’m sure we’ll take a few walks and soak up the sea air. Both my brothers and their partners will be there as well as my nieces & nephew. Bring on the family time!

6 months married today!

I can’t quite believe how quickly it’s gone to be honest. I can still remember exactly how I felt walking towards the altar on the beach in Mexico with both my older brothers on either arm, seeing my hubby’s face, the sea and sun in the background and how my nerves disappeared the second I was stood in front of him. I am so thankful for having this amazing man in my life, for his kindness, patience and loyalty to me. I feel like a very lucky lady indeed and that’s worth celebrating this week.
The lovely Sally is the one who got me thinking about the warm and fuzzies over on Sally Tangle. There’s even more lovely folks who join in on the happiness and mid week merriment so be sure to pop over to them for more of the good stuff –  Jo, Helen, Michelle, Sarah, Kate, Cat, Sam, El , Kerri’s, Mimmi’s, Martina’s , Peta’s , AND Emma‘s #wonderfulwednesday posts. Don’t forget to check out the #wonderfulwednesday on Twitter too, the WW family is growing all the time!
