Good morning and happy Wednesday! If you’re in the UK I hope you had an amazing 4 day weekend. I did much celebrating with the husband and friends but we also got a lot of rest in too. The perfect balance in fact! Now on to the merriment.
I got to meet my friends little baby last week. She’s only 2 months old! She was very cuddly and sweet and it was easy to make her smile. I’m so used to big babies now what with my nieces and nephew so baby Olivia felt like she weighed nothing. I always find it so amazing when a friend suddenly becomes a parent!
On Friday we clearly woke up rather motivated and decided to spring clean the house! The bathroom got the biggest deep clean and not one corner of the house escaped the wrath of the hoover. Long may the cleanliness last.
We decided that being 6 months married last week was worth celebrating so we went for dinner at our favourite Mexican restaurant on Friday night. We shared a few starters and I tucked into some delicious Chimichanga’s along with a pitcher of Bahama Mama’s cocktail with pineapple and cherries. I love celebrating with food! J
Sleep & a 4 day weekend
I had all intentions of doing lots at the weekend but I had to listen to my body and get some rest. I’m normally an early riser even at the weekends but I managed to sleep in until 9-10am each day. I do honestly feel fully rested after this long weekend.
A New York Trip
We finally booked our flights last week and I couldn’t be more excited! One of my best friends has been working in New York for the past two years and although she’s been back to the UK a few times and she came to Mexico for our wedding we still haven’t managed to fly out and visit her in NY. So we’re going for a long weekend and staying at her apartment on First Avenue in June. So far we’ve planned a long brunch followed by a Yankee’s baseball game on the Sunday! Can’t wait!
The lovely Sally is the one who got me thinking about the warm and fuzzies over on Sally Tangle. There’s even more lovely folks who join in on the happiness and mid week merriment so be sure to pop over to them for more of the good stuff – Jo, Helen, Michelle, Sarah, Kate, Cat, Sam, El , Kerri’s, Mimmi’s, Martina’s , Peta’s , AND Emma‘s #wonderfulwednesday posts. Don’t forget to check out the #wonderfulwednesday on Twitter too, the WW family is growing all the time!
